Molly’s Story

I get intellectually fired up by working with a client or brand to unravel their many stories, pulling seen and unseen threads together. My curiosity tugs until the fibers come together like a fine, handcrafted lace.

What thrills me even more is spinning threads from various perspectives—teams of people with different objectives, skills, backgrounds and goals—to create a beautiful tapestry that holds tales that inspire. Those moments of definition and collaboration are what make my heart sing. Especially when others say it can’t be done. 

My insatiable hunger for storytelling is what has driven my career. Now, as an ICF certified coach (ACC), I utilize this desire to empower teams, strengthen leaders, and develop powerful and trustworthy brands or individuals. 

I’ve led marketing campaigns that have gone viral. I’ve created work environments where teams effectively collaborate in spite of differing time zones, goals, tight budgets, and timelines. I’ve served as an unbiased sounding board, coaching executives facing challenges and transitions while helping them find their inner strengths. And I’ve mentored young professionals seeking clarity in what they want to be when they grow up and how to get there. 

I do this by being vulnerable, by listening, and by creating safe spaces to have tough conversations. I find truths, create plans and get past hurdles. I’m able to do this because I have been there.

I’ve been laid off. 

I’ve overcome health challenges.

I’ve suffered abuse of power. 

I’ve pursued justice for sexual harassment, retribution and gender discrimination - for myself and others. 

And I’ve kept going, despite the headwinds. 

With each thread and experience entwined, weaving my story, empowering me. 

I am a sister, daughter, wife, aunt, friend, and mentor to many. And I’d love to help you tell your story.

Molly McDermott Walsh is a creative marketing leader and executive coach with nearly twenty years of experience leading design, luxury and heritage brands. After successfully transforming brands like Farrow & Ball, Pantone and Henrybuilt, she realized that she wanted to help others in a more impactful way. After earning her ICF Executive Coach certification, Molly founded Three Lines Consulting to offer coaching with a marketing mindset - and marketing with a coaching mindset - to creative leaders, design brands and media companies. She loves a challenge and is passionate about thinking big, exploring possibilities and redefining the world.
